The Beginning
A Journey That Started in Varanasi
Our founder's first visit to a Banarasi weaving cluster changed everything. Watching artisans create intricate patterns on century-old looms, she realized these incredible skills were fading—younger generations were leaving the craft for urban jobs.
The Dhaaga Tales was created to change this narrative—to create sustainable livelihoods for artisans while bringing their extraordinary work to women across India and beyond.
